found in the reading materials of the Rajkot
district Primary teachers. Besides news
papers, they read weakly, fortnightly, monthly
books, magazines.
(10.2) The primary teachers of Rajkot district
always read scientific stories, comic stories
while the picture stories and spy/defective
stories they read rarely.
(10.3) The primary teachers of Rajkot district
rarely read dramas and poems.
(10.4) The primary teachers of Rajkot district
reads only the literature that is written in
Gujarati. While the literature written in Hindi,
they read sometime, while literature written in
English language they rarely read and they do
note even read the literature of Sindhi
language.

પેરાશુટ
તમારી પેરાશુટ કોણ પેક કરે છે. તમને ખબર છે...?
ચાલ્સ્ પ્લમ્બ જેટ ફાઇટર વિમાનનો પાઇલટ , અમેરિકા નેવીનો એક જવામદૅ ઍ લડવૈયો, વિયેટનામના યુઘ્ઘ વખતે કીડી હોક નામના યુઘ્ઘજહાજ પરથી એ પોતના જેટ્ને લઇને ઉડતો અને વિયેટ્નામ પર મોત વરસાવી પાછો આવતો, પઁચોતેર વખતએ સફળતા પુવૅક બોમ્બાડિઁગ કરી ચુકયો હતો, છોતેરમી વખત એ બોમ્બાડિઁગ કરીને પાછો ફરતો હતો ત્યારેભુમિ પરથી આકાશમાઁ છોડાયેલી મિશાઇલ એના ફાઇટર જેટનાઁનીચેના ભાગે ભટ્કાઇ વિમાનના પેટમાઁ લાગેલી આગને કારણે તે ફાટી જાય તે પહેલા ચાલ્સ્ પેરાશુટ લઇ કુદી પડ્યો. પકડાયો અત્યાઁચારો યાતનાના છ વરસ વિયેટનામની જેલમા ગાળ્યાઁ બાદ એને મુકતી મળી આજે ચાલ્સ્ અમેરિકામાઁ પોતના યુધ્ધ અનુભવો અઁગે લેકચર આપે છે.
એકદિવસ ચાલ્સ્ અને તેની પત્ની એક રેસ્ટૉરામા બેઠા હતા ત્યારે બાજુનાટેબલ પરથી એક માણસ ઉભો થઇને તેની પાસેઆવ્યો ' તમે જ મિ.ચાલ્સ્ પ્લમ્બ કે ? તમે કીડી હોક નામના એર ક્રાફટ્ કેરિયર પરથી વિયેટનામ પર બોમ્બાડિઁગ કરવા જતા ને ? અને તમારા વિમાન પર મિસાઇલ ઝીકાઇ હતી ખરુને ? એકદમ ખરુ ! ચાલ્સ્ને આશ્ચ્યૅ થયુ , તમને આટલી બધી વિગતની કેવી રીતે ખબર છે. ? તમે મારુ લેકચર એટેંન્ડ કરેલુ ? "નહી પેલો માણસ બોલ્યો " મે તમારી પેરાસુટ પેક કરેલી. ! હુ માનુ છુ, કે તેને બરાબર કામ આપ્યુ હશે, ? અરે ! એકદમ સરસ અને એના લીધે જ હુ અત્યારે જીવતો બેઠો છુ નહિતર વિમાનની જોડે જ .............. ! ચાલ્સ્ અભિભુત થઇ ગયો ' તમારો ખુબ જ આભાર ' !
અરે ઍમા આભારની શી વાત છે.? ઍતો મારી ફરજ હતી. ચાલો ત્યારે ફરી કયારેક મળશુ પેલો માણસ ઍટલુ બોલ્યો પછી બન્ને હાથ મીલાવી ને છુટા પડયા.
બસ આટ્લી જ વાત પણ તે રાત્રે ચાલ્સ્ ને ઉઘ જ ન આવી આખી રાત તે વિચારતો રહયો કે ; જેટ ફાઇટ્રરના સફળ અને અભિમાની પાયલટ તરીકે ઍણે કીટીહોકના તુતક પર પેરાશુટ પેક પેલા મજુર માણસની ક્યારેય નોધ લીધી છે ખરી ? કેટલી વાર ઍ સામો મળ્યો હશે. ? ઍને ક્યારેય ' ગુડ મોનિગ ' કહુયુ હતુ ખરુ ? અરે ! ઍક જ જહાજ પર હોવા છતા ઍ માણસની ઍના માણસની ઍના મગજે નોધપણ નહોતી લીધી. પણ ઍણે ઍની પેરાશુટ પેક જ કરી ના હોત તો.? જ્યારે ઍ મજુર માણસ કલાકોના કલાકો જહાજના ભડકિયામાઁ બેસીને કાળજી પુવઁક પેરાશુટની રેશમની દોરીઓ વણીને બરાબર પેક કરતો હશે. ત્યારે પોતાના જેવા સૈનિકની જીદગીને બચાવવાનો મોકો પણ પેક કરી રહ્યો હશે ને. ? અને ઍ પણ ઍવા સૈનીક કે જેને તે જાણતો પણ નહી હોય. !
તે પછી પોતાના દરેક લેકચરમા ચાલ્સ્ ઍવુ પુછ્તો થઇ ગયો કે તમોને ખબર છે, તમારી પેરાશુટ કોણ પેક કરે છે.?
( આપણી જીદગીમા કઇ કેટ્લીય પેરાશુટૉનો ઉપયોગ કરવો પડ્તો હોય છે, તે આપણે ક્યારેય વિચારીઍ છીઍ ખરા. ? શારિરીક પેરાશુટ , માનસિક પેરાશુટ , લાગણીની પેરશુટ , વગેરે કઇ કેટલીય !!!! આ બધી ય પેરાશુટો આપણા માટે પેક કરનારા સૌને આપણે જાણીઍ છીઍ ખરા. ? ઍમનો કયારેય ખરા દીલથી આભાર માનીઍ છીઍ ખરા. ? આપણે કે બીજા કોઇના માટે સારુ કામ કરનારાની ક્યારેય નોધ લીધી છે, ખરી. ? નથી લાગતુ કે વ્યહવારના તાણાવાણા ને થોડાક સરખી રીતે ગોઠ્વવાની જરુર છે , ? તો ચાલો આપણે રોજીદા જીવનમા ઍક વાતનુ હમેશા ધ્યાન રાખતા રહીઍ કે આપણી પેરાશુટ કોણ પેક કરે છે, ? ! )
